Regine Schwab studied communication studies and social sciences in Berlin and Berkeley, USA. In March 2016, she joined the Research Group "How 'Terrorists' Learn" at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology. Her research focuses on modes of interaction between rebel groups and insurgent organisational structures in the Syrian civil war, using a mixed methods approach.
