Profile

I joined the Department ‘Anthropology of Politics and Governance’ as a PhD candidate in October 2025. Previously, I received my BA in Social Science with a focus on social anthropology, sociology, and political science at the University of Göttingen followed by an MA in social anthropology at Martin Luther University in Halle (Saale). During the fieldwork for my MA thesis, I engaged with farmers in Bavaria with a particular focus on their concerns and views on societal hopes and future imaginaries. Through that research, I investigated my interlocutors’ overlapping and at times competing caregiving practices that were revealed in their constant (re-)working of relationships and responses to meet moral and ethical commitments at various scales.

In my current project, I am examining digital transformation processes in Saxony-Anhalt, particularly in the field of medical and geriatric care structures.
