Profile

Since early 2026, I have been a doctoral candidate in the Department of ‚Anthropology of Politics and Governance'. After studying anthropology and sociology at Heidelberg University, I completed my master's degree in social and cultural anthropology at the Free University of Berlin.

Most recently, I worked as a junior anthropologist in international health research at the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin as part of a community-led and participatory ‚One Health‘ project in southeastern Nigeria. Together with a Nigerian anthropologist, I conducted tandem research exploring local understandings of health in the context of zoonoses and examining the dynamics of transdisciplinary and transnational cooperation within the project team.

Throughout my research activities to date, I have been guided by the question of how anthropological findings can be translated into practice and public policy.

Since October 2025, I have been the spokesperson for the Medical Anthropology Working Group of the German Society for Social and Cultural Anthropology (DGSKA). In this role, I am particularly excited about supporting early-career researchers and creating interdisciplinary networking opportunities.
