University College London (UCL) and the Max Planck Society (MPS) are holding a one-day conference on June 27, 2012 in London.
University College London (UCL) and the Max Planck Society (MPS) are holding a one-day conference on June 27, 2012 to cement the close ties between two of Europe's leading research institutions. Most of the lectures will address diverse fields of cooperation in the natural sciences, but Chris Hann will open the afternoon programme with an anthropological perspective on “Civilization: Theories and Empirical Research Agendas". This will be followed by a related talk by his UCL partner David Wengrow (Institute of Archaeology).
