Marta Lobato Rodriguez joins the Institute as Max Planck – Prince of Asturias – Visiting Fellow

The Institute welcomes Marta Lobato Rodriguez as a Visiting Fellow within the Max Planck – Prince of Asturias Programme

Marta Lobato Rodriguez (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) will join the Institute as Max Planck-Prince of Asturias Visiting Fellow for the month of May. Her research project “Exploring New Socio-Economic Phenomena as a Response to the Economic Crisis in Southern Europe” is closely related to several economic anthropology projects in the Department of Chris Hann.

On October 25, 2013, the Max Planck Society received the Prince of Asturias Award in recognition of its international cooperation. The Max Planck Society has doubled the €50,000 prize money from its own funds and has established a grant programme to fund research residencies for outstanding doctoral students and postdocs from Spain.
