On July 8, 2015, David Wengrow (University College London, Centre for Research into the Dynamics of Civilisation) delivered the second Goody Lecture entitled "Cities before the State: Western Eurasia in the Fourth Millennium BC". The lecture was well attended and generated a lively discussion. It will be published by the Department 'Resilience and Transformation in Eurasia' of the MPI for Social Anthropology in due course.
