Spot On | Hanna Nieber – Astronomy in Africa

Hanna Nieber talks about her research in Madagascar, where she studies how astronomy is becoming established as a scientific practice. The activities are inspired by the expansion of a radio telescope array based mostly in South Africa, but with partners across Africa, including Madagascar. Hanna is particularly interested in what the growth of this field of science means for larger society and how it affects the relations between Madagascar, Africa, and the cosmos.
