Research Interests
As an HIV physician and medical anthropologist, his research concerns the biosocial dynamics of HIV epidemics and their broader political consequences. In addition to its critical engagement with public health, his research speaks to broader debates in anthropology concerning globalization, the state, and the politics of humanitarian intervention
